About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on HR Generalist to manage the complete employee lifecycle in our growing organization. You will be responsible for driving all core HR functions — from talent acquisition, onboarding, compliance, payroll, and engagement to performance management and exits.
As part of a fast-paced startup, this role calls for someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution — ensuring people processes are efficient, compliant, and deeply aligned with our company culture and business goals.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Handle end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, and offer rollouts.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast hiring needs and define job requirements.
- Drive smooth onboarding experiences that align with our culture and values.
- Maintain accurate employee data and HR documentation.
2. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure all HR processes comply with statutory and regulatory requirements (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.).
- Maintain employee records, HR policies, and compliance trackers.
- Partner with external vendors for payroll, benefits administration, and legal filings as needed.
3. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time in coordination with Finance.
- Manage attendance, leaves, and related documentation through HRMS or internal systems.
- Handle salary revisions, reimbursements, and full-and-final settlements.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and execute employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Organize events, celebrations, and feedback sessions to strengthen company culture.
- Support leadership in building an open, transparent, and performance-driven environment.
5. Performance & Development
- Coordinate performance review cycles and ensure timely feedback discussions.
- Support in identifying learning and development needs.
- Help managers with goal setting and team growth initiatives.
6. Exit & Offboarding
- Manage resignations, exit interviews, clearance, and final settlements.
- Analyze attrition data and share insights to improve retention and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a startup or mid-sized company.
- Sound understanding of HR operations, payroll, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent communication and people skills with a high degree of empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
