Job Function

Reporting to the Multi Site Human Resource Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be based in Lockland, OH and will be responsible for the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Builds strong working relationships with the organization’s
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate and gain alignment with company initiatives, and human resource policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with local, state, federal and/or provincial law.
  • Leads the talent acquisition effort for direct and indirect labor non-exempt positions for assigned location(s) by sourcing, interviewing, coordinating offers of employment, and onboarding new employees. Works collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition COE on SG&A recruitment as needed.
  • Facilitates and conducts training (including new hire orientation) for the workforce.
  • In collaboration with the HR Manager, executes workforce plans.
  • Helps managers with succession planning and organizational design changes, including promotions and other job changes.
  • Ensure accurate job descriptions are created and maintained. Collaborates with the Compensation COE to ensure salary grades are accurate and competitive.
  • Ensures employee data integrity (e.g., address, telephone, emergency contact, employment status, salary changes, exiting employees, etc.) in HRIS databases and communicates with affected employees, managers and department heads as needed.
  • Maintain confidential Employee forms and files (personnel files, HIPAA files, storage files, recruiting files, etc.) for worksite. Ensures required legal documentation is maintained.
  • Prepares reports via HRIS, Excel, or any other method as required.
  • Investigates, documents, and responds to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and grievances. Follows CBA for grievances in union environments.
  • Coaches, counsels and guides managers on employee relations matters and before executing employee disciplinary actions. Tracks employee disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains and processes unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner; attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
  • In collaboration with the Total Rewards team, employees and managers support through the employee performance evaluation and goals process, as well as the annual merit and bonus process. Calibrates performance evaluation ratings and merit/bonus requests to ensure alignment across the organization and timely completion.
  • On-site point of contact to answer Company benefit questions and collaborates with the Benefits COE team for a seamless employee experience. Coordinates and tracks leave of absence.
  • Conducts exit interviews, tracks and reports on patterns.
  • Tracks, analyzes and reports on human resources metrics, completes daily operations scorecards, and provides HR data for weekly operations reports.
  • In collaboration with the organization’s HR team, executes Vibrantz in Action strategy and priorities. Coordinates local employee involvement committee (EIC) meetings and initiatives in accordance with the global strategy.
  • Provides support and leads by example to ensure a safety-first culture.
  • Assists managers with timecard accuracy to ensure an accurate weekly payroll cycle. Investigate and collaborate with Payroll COE as needed.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Union Experience reqiured
  • HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc).
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required. Experience processing and maintaining data in an HRIS (preferably Workday).
  • Effective communication skills; written, oral and interpersonal.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and employ effective time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
