Overview
This position is responsible for managing the employees’ lifespan throughout their employment with Divine Care, Inc. from recruitment to retirement. This oversight includes recruitment and hiring, onboarding, and training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, maintaining employee records, managing payroll, ensuring fostering a safe and positive work environment, developing and implementing Human Resource policies and supporting organizational culture. Practices reflect Divine Care, Inc.’s vision, mission and values. Interactions are timely, responsive and courteous. Actively engages in problem-solving, identifies priority issues, seeks resolution of conflicts, shows respect and sensitivity for each employee’s cultural/ethnic diversity in the workplace. Works collaboratively with both internal departments and external entities to accomplish goals/tasks.

Responsibilities:

Talent Requisition

· Responsible for sourcing candidates and posting various positions within the organization.

· Identifying diverse recruitment channels to hire the most qualified candidates. Reviews applications, conduct screenings to assess candidate’s qualifications and schedule interviews for respective programs.

· Responsible for maintaining the monthly orientation schedule and facilitating the onboarding process of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition to Divine Care, Inc.

· Maintains a tracking system of candidates and new hires to ensure consistency in hiring practices, declines in offers and candidates ineligible for hire.

· Attend job fairs and hosting company-solicited open houses.

· May at times oversee the offer process on behalf of the Executive Director including negotiations and documentation.

· Develop effective succession planning in filling key positions for the future.

Managing Employee Benefits

· Administers employee benefits programs including health insurance, dental and vision, 401K retirement plans and paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, etc.).

· Research salary trends and develop compensation strategies to ensure competitive wages and pay scale structures.

Training and Development

· Designs and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Recommend training topics for advanced skill development for Managers and Upper Management.

· Assists employees in their career progression, including setting up mentoring programs and other development opportunities.

· Maintains training compliance in the electronic documentation system.

· Coordinates training activities, ensuring effective implementation through evaluation.

· Maintaining the credentials of qualified trainers.

Employee Relations

· Addresses employee to employee relations by conducting administrative investigations and providing outcomes and recommendations to upper management.

· Manage progressive employee discipline and performance issues.

· Provides constructive feedback to Program Managers throughout the disciplinary process.

· Serve as a witness and/or mediator to the Program Manager when settling interpersonal conflicts.

Performance Management

· Serves as the lead for conducting annual performance evaluations, development plans, goal settings and feedback. Provide support and training to Program Managers in facilitating an equitable and consistent evaluation process.

· Responsible for maintaining electronic performance management platforms.

Compliance with Labor Laws

· Serves as the legal subject matter expert with regards to labor laws and regulations.

· Work in partnership with ADP platforms for workplace polices and procedures (employee handbook).

· Maintains up-to-date employee records (electronic and file) in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.

· Keep up to date with local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Maintaining Workplace Culture

· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

· Develop incentive programs to boost retention and employee engagement.

Processing Payroll

· Ensures accurate and timely payroll processing. Also responsible for researching discrepancies in pay and adjusting as appropriate.

· Oversee employee regular and overtime hours.

· Works and serves as liaison to Staffing Agencies and maintain contractual relationships.

· Paycheck processing including direct deposits and managing payroll deductions.

· Payroll reconciliation

· Problem Solving

· Communication to employees and managers regarding payroll matters.

· Entering data into payroll system

· Preparing and issuing tax forms at orientation and end-of-year

· Gather and verify timekeeping data such as timecards, attendance records, etc.

Other

Manage and utilize identified HR software and databases.

  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
