Human Resource/Accounting Assistant- Anderson, IN

Support Accounting & HR departments in administrative and organizational tasks.

Human Resources:

  • Communication with the Payroll team to ensure validity of data and submission of payroll required admin to support smooth and timely payroll processing each month.
  • Recording absences and supporting with clearing exceptions, ensuring the necessary paperwork has been completed, ie., doctor excuses, return to work forms and annual leave requests
  • Updating and maintaining personnel records
  • Coordinating recruitment processes, including communication with agencies and scheduling interviews.
  • Preparing and issuing new starter packs; processing new starter paperwork and arranging pre-employment medicals.
  • Updating and maintaining personnel records.
  • Advising employees and managers on low level employment related issues.
  • Attending and taking minutes at meetings.
  • Undertaking a range of other HR duties as and when required.

Accounting:

  • Assist in chasing payment for aged debts from a portfolio of customers using a variety of communication methods
  • Liaise with internal contacts to resolve customer disputes/account issues
  • Effectively manage workflow strategies to review & monitor aged debt to ensure maximum cash collection
  • Weekly & monthly reporting packs with specified deadlines
  • Working as part of a team to achieve group targets & objectives
  • Deal promptly with AP queries
  • Scan invoices onto ReadSoft systems & monitor accuracy of capture
  • Correctly identify destination of invoices & forward for processing
  • Enter paper invoices onto system & forward as appropriate when matching does not occur
  • Manage suppliers on direct debit payments ensuring invoices correctly entered & debit balances do not arise

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative support role.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
