You may be asking, “What’s in it for me?” To that I would answer, Southwest Truck Driver Training (SWTDT) is a strong, family-owned business with two locations (Tucson, Phoenix) currently run by the second generation. Now with over 25 years in business, SWTDT continues to improve and modify our curriculum and programs to meet current industry needs. SWTDT’s road and range training is conducted in modern equipment using multiple transmissions, as well as empty and loaded dry van and flatbed trailers. All range training and CDL testing is completed on site and in the surrounding area, making SWTDT a true school-to-work training facility.
Southwest Truck Driver Training is currently interested in reviewing resumes for a highly motivated Human Resources Coordinator.
Position Summary:
As an HR Generalist, you will be a key player in managing day-to-day human resources operations, supporting employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, compliance, and more. This is a part time roll 20-25 hours we week. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact across all areas of HR and contribute to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related issues
Administer benefits, leave programs, and HRIS systems
Support full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Assist with performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation
Collaborate with leadership on policy updates and HR strategy
Payroll administration
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in HR role
Solid understanding of HR best practices and labor laws
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
PHR or SHRM-CP certification
ADP Workforce Now experience
