Position: HR & Administrative Manager (Part-Time)

Location: Fort Collins, CO Schedule: 25–35 hours per week | Flexible scheduling Reports to: Ownership / Leadership Supports: 3 local restaurant concepts | ~150 employees

About the Role

We are a locally owned hospitality group operating three high-volume restaurant concepts with approximately 150 employees. We are seeking an experienced HR & Administrative Manager to oversee human resources operations, compliance, and administrative systems across all locations.

This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced, people-centric environment, a flexible schedule and is comfortable operating independently while partnering closely with ownership and management.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources & Compliance

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation across all locations
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (wage & hour, scheduling, leave, workers’ comp, etc.)
  • Manage employee files, handbooks, policies, and acknowledgments
  • Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and terminations in coordination with ownership
  • Assist with investigations, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee matters
  • Coordinate benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications (as applicable)

Payroll & Systems Support

  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Audit timekeeping, tip compliance, and labor records
  • Manage HRIS, scheduling, and time-clock systems (Toast, 7Shifts, or similar preferred)

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide administrative support to ownership and senior management
  • Assist with record-keeping, reporting, and internal process documentation
  • Coordinate licenses, permits, certifications, and compliance renewals
  • Support hiring workflows, job postings, and candidate tracking
  • Help standardize processes across multiple restaurant locations

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 3+ years of HR or people-operations experience (hospitality strongly preferred)
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting hourly, tipped, and shift-based workforces
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Preferred

  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant or retail environments
  • Familiarity with restaurant tech platforms (Toast, 7Shifts, Paylocity, Google Business Suite, etc.)
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification (not required)
  • Experience working directly with owners or founder-led businesses

Schedule & Compensation

  • 25–35 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule (some on-site presence required; hybrid flexibility possible)
  • Competitive hourly compensation $20-$25 based on experience
