Position Overview
Location: Flushing, NY
Language Requirement: Bilingual (English & Mandarin)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily HR operations, maintain accurate employee records, assist with onboarding/offboarding, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Candidates with restaurant or hospitality industry experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR administrative functions, including employee files, documentation, and HRIS updates.
- Assist with recruitment, interview scheduling, offer letters, and onboarding processes.
- Coordinate employee training, benefits enrollment, and compliance-related tasks.
- Provide support with timekeeping review and payroll-related processes.
- Handle employee inquiries and provide HR assistance in both English and Mandarin.
- Ensure HR policies comply with New York State and federal labor regulations.
- Assist with employee relations documentation and follow-up.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience (administration, recruitment, generalist, or related).
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
- Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with HR practices and labor compliance.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the restaurant, food & beverage, or hospitality industry.
- Experience supporting multi-location or high-volume hiring environments.
Salary Range (Flushing, Queens, NY)
Recommended Salary Range:
- US $50,000 – $75,000 per year (Exact salary within the range will be determined based on experience, skill level, and overall fit)
