Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of human capital management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of employment and labor laws, and a passion for fostering positive employee relations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews using ATS platforms such as Lever or iCIMS.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organization.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data entry, ensuring compliance with FMLA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Facilitate employee evaluation processes and performance management initiatives to promote talent management and development.
  • Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits administration.
  • Participate in change management initiatives and support strategic planning efforts within the HR department.
  • Assist with training and development programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
  • Handle employee relations matters, addressing conflicts and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Support affirmative action planning and succession planning efforts to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Collect and analyze HR data to inform decision-making processes related to workforce management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles, with familiarity in human resources management principles.
  • Knowledge of employment & labor law, including FMLA, workers' compensation, and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with project management, organizational design, and strategic planning within an HR context.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday, Paychex, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Strong skills in talent acquisition, recruiting, interviewing, training & development, performance management, and employee evaluation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with social media management for employer branding purposes is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.10 - $25.41 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
