The Human Resources Assistant serves as a key support to the HR department and is often the first point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a professional, welcoming, and well-organized environment while providing accurate, timely, and confidential administrative support. Given the populations we serve, strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and adherence to quality standards are essential.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in administrative excellence. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 year of clerical, administrative, or receptionist experience
  • Strong administrative acumen with exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Associate’s degree or high school diploma required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the main switchboard and reception area; professionally greet and assist visitors, applicants, and staff
  • Provide general Human Resources information and assistance while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain records within the HRIS
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting and timely distribution
  • Order, track, and maintain office supplies to support daily operations
  • Provide administrative support across a variety of HR functions, ensuring tasks are completed thoroughly and on time
  • Serve as a Public Notary, as needed
