Job Summary

HR Assistant needed for a growing E-Commerce company (currently 95 employees) located on the south side of Jacksonville near the Town Center.

We’ve been in business for 25 exciting years, selling safety supplies and work apparel such as safety vests and hard hats.

This role is ideal for someone with prior Human Resources experience who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior Human Resources experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized
  • Proficient with computers; typing minimum 40 WPM
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Drug-free workplace

Job Duties

On a typical day, you will be seated at a desk:

  • Calling applicants to conduct phone interviews
  • Scheduling in-person interviews
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the HR Manager

Additional duties may include:

  • Answering phones and relaying messages
  • Maintaining office supplies
  • Assisting with new hire orientation
  • Assisting with planning and execution of company events
  • Assisting with administering employee benefits
  • Answering routine employee questions related to policies, benefits, and hiring processes (referring complex issues to the HR Manager)
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all HR-related information

Schedule

  • 32-hour workweek
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • Wednesday off
  • Typical work hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
