Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the assistance to the HR Manager regarding operations of the Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare new hire paperwork.
- Create files for new employees, scan them, and upload them to Paychex.
- File and audit employees’ records.
- Track employee’s licenses, trainings, Health Screenings, TB tests, etc.
- Complete I-9
- Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants.
- Posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct Onboarding and Orientation days for new hires.
- Prepare monthly Health Disparity Report.
- Send Birthday Celebration emails.
- Create new users in the server, KIPU and Paychex.
- Create name badges.
- Process Driving records for new hires.
- Track Performance Evaluations.
- Any additional duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager
Pre Requisite Qualifications
Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Adobe PDF and Outlook (Required)
- Knowledgeable of employment/labor laws and regulations.
- At least 1 of year experience in Human Resources
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with people
- Comfortable using office software and HR systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to communicate clearly and address problems or issues in a collaborative manner
Core Competencies
- Ability to use paychex system to assist HR Manager
- Ability to research labor laws and provide accurate information to HR Manager.
- Ability to maintain a tracking system for employee requirements such as licensing days, TB test and first aid / CPR renewal dates, annual reviews and other state and regulation requirements for employees
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
