Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department within our senior living community. This position plays a key role in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, recordkeeping, and administrative support while helping foster a positive and professional workplace culture dedicated to exceptional resident care.
Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding coordination.

Prepare new hire paperwork and maintain accurate employee records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Support employee onboarding and orientation programs.

Track and maintain employee licenses, certifications, training records, and background checks.

Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping corrections, and benefits administration.
- Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.

Maintain confidentiality of employee, resident, and organizational information at all times.

Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and staff events.

Assist with workers’ compensation claims, incident reporting, and leave tracking.

Support investigations into workplace issues including but not limited to employee relation issues, ethical violations, and other HR-related concerns.
- Ensure HR files and documentation remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Help coordinate mandatory trainings and compliance requirements for healthcare staff.

Assist with processing HR department invoices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree or higher in Human Resources or related field preferred
Licenses/Certifications: SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Experience: 1+ years of Human Resources experience preferred, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment
