Human Resources Business Partner

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), with dotted-line reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP), the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level, working closely with designated regional RVP and CHRO to support regional HR business needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to full life-cycle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, policy enforcement, training, and HR compliance support. The HRBP will support the on-going human resources initiatives to meet the growing needs of the business and will play a key role in creating a work environment where everyone can thrive.


Responsibilities:


  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for designated region/business unit(s).
  • Partners with RVP to implement and deploy programs and procedures that promote positive employee relations.
  • Responsible for full life-cycle recruitment for exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns, and temporary employees.
  • Performs employee relations investigations, documentation support, and provides resolution recommendations.
  • Responds timely to employee and supervisor employment related questions, concerns and needs.
  • Enforces human resources policies and procedures.
  • Supports programs that promote recognition, development, and retention of key talent.
  • Supports RVP with professional development planning and internal career-pathing opportunities for designated team(s).
  • Serves as a liaison to the benefits administration team, including communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Assists with HR KPI reporting, decisions and results in relation to established regional goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to positively impact business needs.
  • Delivers employee and supervisory training, as needed – via webinar and classroom setting(s).
  • Supports human resources compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support certification/licensing credential management via HCM system.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Work Environment & Hazards:


This is a hybrid position which is blended between working remotely and visiting various locations within the designated region. This position requires the ability to travel to New York City up to 2 – 3 days per week as needed or requested by management.

Special Physical Demands:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times to designated locations.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


Work Contact Group:


  • Significant contact with Chief Human Resources Officer and Regional Vice President.
  • Significant contact with designated regional business unit(s).
  • Limited contact with various departments within AEG (i.e. payroll, accounting, etc.).
  • Limited contact with external vendors.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required.
  • Four years of relative experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR strongly preferred.
  • Elevator or construction related industry experience a strong plus.
  • Strong experience with multiple human resource disciplines including full life-cycle recruitment, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and training required.
  • Possess motivated and outgoing personality, with ability to read and interact with various personalities and organization leaders required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
