About The Job

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) supports manufacturing operations by providing hands-on and strategic HR guidance. This role focuses on workforce planning, employee development, and engagement to ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains skilled employees. The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, aligning HR practices with business objectives to foster a safe, high-performance culture on the production floor and across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical and salaried positions across plant operations and support functions.
  • Partner with department managers to forecast staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with technical schools, trade programs, and community organizations to build manufacturing talent pipelines.
  • Design and implement training programs for safety, technical skills, leadership development, and career progression.
  • Partner with supervisors and department heads to deliver hands-on training and cross-training initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of apprenticeship or certification programs in collaboration with educational institutions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on performance, attendance, and behavioral issues.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and fair resolution of employee concerns.
  • Promote employee engagement through recognition, communication, and retention initiatives.
  • Serve as a key contact for plant employees, supporting open communication and a positive work environment.
  • Partner with operations leaders to set clear goals, review performance, and drive accountability.
  • Facilitate corrective action and improvement plans when necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to align HR strategy with operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, OSHA standards, and company policies.
  • Support safety and wellness initiatives through training and culture-building efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, safety compliance, and labor relations.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment and training program management.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on HR support in a fast-paced setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,738.25 - $74,351.45 per year
