SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Mobile, AL in its search for a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support their manufacturing operations. The Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to build a high-performance culture, champion employee engagement, and drive Human Resource initiatives that support organizational goals.
The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Business Partner role will be proactive, approachable, and experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of workforce planning, employee relations, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:

Partner with plant and corporate leadership to align Human Resource strategies with business goals

Provide data-driven insights to support workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness

Serve as a trusted advisor on Human Resource policies, labor trends, and people-related risks

Responsible for overseeing the hiring and recruitment processes

Serve as a key resource for employees and managers for Human Resources support, conflict resolution, and performance concerns

Conduct investigations, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations

Drive engagement initiatives, communication plans, and culture-building programs throughout the plant

Support recruitment efforts, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding of manufacturing and support roles

Facilitate training programs, leadership development, and coaching for supervisors

Assist with performance management processes, including goal-setting, evaluations, and improvement plans

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(
OSHA) guidelines

Partner with Safety and Operations teams on workers’ compensation cases, modified duty, and return-to-work programs

Maintain accurate Human Resource records, manage Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) updates, and support payroll and benefits administration
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, required

3 – 5 + years of Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment, strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of employment law and Human Resources best practices

Experience with investigations, worker's compensation claims, payroll, coaching, and employee relations

Human Resources certification such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), preferred
