Job Summary

We are seeking a mature, independent, and highly trustworthy Human Resources / HR Business Partner to support our growing operations. This role goes beyond traditional HR administration and plays a key role in organizational health, workforce productivity, and management accountability.

The HR Manager will be responsible for employee relations, performance tracking, and workforce effectiveness analysis, while maintaining independence from daily operations and reporting key risks, inefficiencies, and organizational issues directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

1. Human Resources & Employee Relations

  • Manage full-cycle HR functions including recruitment support, onboarding, off boarding, and employee relations
  • Serve as a neutral and trusted point of contact for employees and managers
  • Handle workplace issues professionally, objectively, and confidentially
  • Promote a healthy, respectful, and fair working environment

2. Workforce Productivity & Efficiency Analysis

  • Track workforce data including headcount, attendance, turnover, overtime, and productivity metrics
  • Analyze workforce efficiency and identify underperformance or structural inefficiencies
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve productivity, staffing structure, and operational effectiveness
  • Support managers in addressing low performance through coaching, training, or process improvements

3. Reporting & Annual Review

  • Prepare regular workforce performance reports for management and the CEO
  • Lead the preparation of annual workforce performance summaries and improvement plans
  • Identify organizational risks such as internal conflicts, misaligned incentives, or unhealthy team dynamics

4. Management Oversight & Organizational Health

  • Maintain functional independence from operational teams to ensure objective oversight
  • Monitor management behavior and team dynamics to prevent favoritism, internal cliques, or unhealthy power structures
  • Escalate organizational risks, misconduct, or systemic issues to the CEO in a timely and professional manner
  • Support leadership in maintaining transparency, fairness, and accountability

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with operations, finance, and leadership to align workforce planning with business needs
  • Support managers with workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and talent development

6. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Post job descriptions, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage hiring processes as needed
  • Work with department leaders to define hiring needs and ensure quality talent acquisition
  • Maintain fair, structured, and professional recruitment standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in HR, people operations, or organizational development
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in workforce data, reporting, and performance analysis
  • High emotional intelligence with excellent listening, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong integrity and a high sense of responsibility

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and maturity
  • Ability to analyze people and organizational dynamics objectively
  • Comfortable presenting findings and concerns to senior leadership
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in operational, warehouse, or manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting fast-growing or founder-led organizations
  • Familiarity with labor laws and HR compliance in the U.S.
  • Experience working directly with CEOs or executive leadership
