About The Role:
The HR Business Partner is based in Memphis, TN and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Global Compensation & Staff HR. This role provides strategic and operational HR partnership to the Information Technology and Commercial teams, supporting leaders and employees across both functions. The HRBP plays a key role in executing people strategies, building organizational capability, enabling talent development, and driving a positive employee experience.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR partner to IT and Commercial leadership teams, aligning HR solutions with business goals.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, and capability-building initiatives
- Support execution of enterprise HR strategies, programs, and processes across
Talent & Leadership Development
- Execute talent management processes including succession planning & performance management.
- Identify capability gaps and recommend targeted development solutions for individuals and teams.
- Facilitate leadership coaching conversations and provide guidance on performance, development, and employee relations.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Provide counsel to managers and employees on HR policies, practices, and employment matters, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Investigate and help resolve employee issues, conflicts, and concerns with an emphasis on early intervention and positive outcomes.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management
- Partner with leaders to implement organizational improvements that increase effectiveness, agility, and employee engagement.
- Support ongoing change initiatives as GCF continues to progress through the early phases of the AIP partnership, with significant organizational evolution still underway.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with hiring leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruiting, selection, and onboarding.
- Offer insight on talent strategy and provide a strong point of view on assessing candidates and building strong teams.
Training, Communication & Engagement
- Identify and coordinate training needs; design and deliver targeted learning sessions when appropriate.
- Support communication plans for functional initiatives, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent messaging.
- Drive engagement action-planning and partner with leaders to build inclusive, high- performing cultures.
Key Challenges:- Supporting leaders through complex business transformations and prioritization demands.
- Influencing without authority and coaching leaders with confidence.
- Maintaining strong relationships across functions while operating with speed and agility.
About You: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5–7 years of general HR experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on deliverables
- Proficiency with Excel
- Experience with HRIS systems; Dayforce experience a plus
