Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic and operational partner to business leaders and the Director of Human Resources. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day HR functions while proactively identifying, addressing, and resolving people-related issues, compliance risks, and process gaps. The HRBP is expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, sound judgment, and discretion, bringing forward both problems and well-developed solutions.

- $65k - $75k salaried position
- Must have prior (5) years of Human Resources experience, prior experience in a start-up environment, be personable and have extreme attention to detail.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour)
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee relations matters independently
- Proven ability to identify HR issues and proactively develop and implement solutions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or higher)
- Experience supporting multi-state or regulated environments (healthcare, caregiving, or similar preferred)
- Experience leading HR projects or initiatives independently
- Data-driven mindset with experience using HR metrics to identify trends
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and workflow tools
- Strategic thinking with strong execution skills
- Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders
- Strong attention to detail and compliance focus
- Ability to balance daily operational tasks with long-term improvement initiatives
Responsibilities/essential functions:
The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned leaders and employees
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, and performance management support
- Provide guidance to managers on attendance, performance, policy interpretation, and employee concerns
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and documentation
- Ensure all employee benefits systems and records are kept current, accurate, and compliant, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Respond to HR-related inquiries in a timely, professional, and consistent manner
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and potential risks related to employee relations, compliance, and engagement
- Proactively recommend and implement process improvements, policy updates, and corrective actions
- Partner with leaders to strengthen manager capability and consistency across teams
- Independently draft, update, and maintain HR policies, SOPs, and training materials
- Lead or support HR initiatives related to engagement, retention, performance, and compliance
- Escalate high-risk or complex matters to the Director of Human Resources with clear analysis and recommended solutions
