The HR Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting our centralized HR Compliance processes to ensure Bloomin’ Brands (BBI) remains compliant for all Federal, State and Local laws. This role will collaborate with various internal departments and vendors to ensure processes and systems are implemented and executed successfully.
This is a hybrid role based in our Tampa, FL Restaurant Support Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsible for administration of the I-9 and E-Verify processes, monitoring compliance, providing updated metrics to HR Shared Services leadership, and collaborating with vendors and internal business partners on exceptions and critical issues.

Responsible for follow-up communication and actions to ensure compliance.
- Collaboration with Compliance/Legal teams on any agency related HR Audits.

Responsible for identifying and tracking trends and notifying leadership for appropriate action, such as training, etc.

Manage poster compliance for all stores and Restaurant Support Center.

Responsible for ensuring any state required wage and hour forms are being distributed and acknowledged timely in our Onboarding database.
- Manage Social Security Number verifications and corrections.

Assist with HR related governmental reporting and audits.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation for compliance processes such as SOPs, scripts, and escalation protocols for various compliance activities.

Work closely with the HR Shared Services leadership, HRGs, and Legal teams on new compliance initiatives and changes.
- Help identify new or changing regulations related to HR or Employment that may require implementation of a new process.
- Assist in reviewing current policies and procedures for all functional areas.
- Support state separation notices and unemployment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

2-5 years of experience working in Human Resource or Legal departments
- I-9 compliance experience

HR certification desirable.
Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Experience working with HR systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with internal business partners and external vendors.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Must maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
