The HR Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resources department and serves as a backup to payroll processing. This role assists with day-to-day HR operations, employee records management, recruitment support, and compliance requirements while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all areas. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and exit documentation.

Provide administrative support for recruitment, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and supporting career events as needed.

Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, DOT requirements and company policies.

Manage FMLA process.

Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.

Assist with tracking attendance, leaves of absence, and employee status changes.

Serve as backup for payroll processing, including data entry, timekeeping verification, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll submission.

Participate in HR special projects as assigned

Perform other related administrative duties as assigned to support the HR function.
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.

1–2 years of HR or administrative experience; payroll knowledge a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/payroll systems.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
