Job Summary
The HR Coordinator (HRC) provides operational and administrative support to the Human Resources department, with primary responsibility for recruiting coordination and payroll processing. This role supports day-to-day HR functions and partners closely with the HR Generalist and HR Director.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants hands-on exposure to all facets of Human Resources, including recruiting, payroll, onboarding, benefits, employee engagement, and HR operations. The HR Coordinator works independently within established processes while escalating complex employee relations, leave of absence, and workers' compensation matters to the HR Generalist.
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and interview facilitation with hiring managers
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) data and prepare offer letters
- Process bi-weekly payroll and audit/edit employee timecards
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation; collect I-9s and submit E-Verify
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and reconciliations
- Support employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications (Canva)
- Serve as first point of contact for routine HR questions
- Maintain HRIS data, employee files, and reports
- Process external employment verification requests
- Provide administrative support to the HR Generalist and HR Director
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Recruiting, or a related role
- Working knowledge of payroll processing, onboarding, and basic employment laws
- Experience editing timecards and supporting benefits administration
- Familiarity with I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Customer service mindset with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and follow-through
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, E-Verify, and background check

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
