Bloomer Trailer Mfg., Inc. is a livestock trailer manufacturer in Salado, Texas that is hiring an on site experienced Human Resource Coordinator. The individual is responsible for the administrative, day-to-day HR for a manufacturing facility for 85+ employees. A successful HR will need to have the ability to keep organized and balance responsibilities through appropriate prioritization to meet deadlines and ensure processes and systems are followed and run smoothly. This position will be a vital resource for employees and will require a high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
- Support interview management, orientation preparation and scheduling.
- Assist with the coordination of potential and new employees.
- Provide general operational support for the Human Resources Department.
- Assist with various administrative tasks and projects as directed by the Management team.
- Handle staffing issues, mediating disputes, and executing disciplinary procedures.
- Prepare payroll timesheets weekly for the payroll department.
- Assist in payroll.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, files, and electronic files.
- Complete projects and prepare reports by gathering and analyzing data.
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee safety training events.
- Assist employees with routine inquiries concerning payroll, benefits, personnel policies, employment openings.
- Keep informed with OSHA regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Process unemployment claims.
- Maintain office policies and procedures.
- Maintain departmental confidentiality.
- Keep informed with Texas and US Labor Laws.
- Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Advise the company’s administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations.
- Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines.
- Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Organize and provide monthly safety meetings for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
Education / Experience:
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. Experience will be considered in replacement of education.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in Human Resources.
- General knowledge of state/federal laws regarding employment practices.
- Excellent human relations skills and ability to develop and maintain good rapport with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in current computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain composure and efficiency under the pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting employment and training practices.
