Human Resources Director

Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Director to join our leadership team. This full-time leadership position is ideal for a motivated HR professional who excels in employee relations, recruiting, payroll administration, and workforce development within a healthcare environment.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and retention initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to facility leadership while fostering a positive and engaged workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, healthcare, or a related field

  • Proven experience with payroll processing and administration (required)

  • Proven experience with recruiting, hiring, and employee retention (required)

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and labor regulations

  • Experience managing employee relations and performance management processes

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees

  • Manage and oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness

  • Support employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives

  • Serve as a resource for managers and employees regarding HR policies and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations

  • Manage employee records, benefits administration, and HR reporting

  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters professionally and confidentially

  • Partner with facility leadership to support staffing goals and workforce planning

  • Coordinate orientation, training, and professional development programs

  • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and employee satisfaction
