Role: Human Resources Director - North America
Location: Charlotte, NC (Pineville office & production site)
Travel Requirement: 25% to 35% to other North American locations
Reports To: President, Western Global North America

Salary: $110 -$120,000 Commensurate with experience
Annual Bonus Potential: 20% of base salary

As the North American HR Director you will be the senior HR leader for the region, partnering directly with the President of North America and serving as a trusted advisor to the leadership team. This role provides strategic HR direction, ensures compliance across U.S. states and Canada, develops people programs, and executes organizational development initiatives.
- Lead HR operations across four sites: Charlotte, NC, Troy, MI, Sacramento, CA, and Winnipeg, MB.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and growth goals.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws and regulations including Canadian employment standards (MB), human rights requirements, and data privacy (PIPEDA).
- Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and talent development.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruiting, and onboarding and compliance across North America.
- Lead employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes in partnership with Legal on any actions with elevated risk.
- Own employment policies and processes; recommend competitive benefits/practices with options for leadership.
- Champion organizational development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and culture-building programs.
- Partner with global HR (UK HQ) to align with enterprise programs.
- Coach and Develop the North American HR team.
- Drive efforts and foster a diverse culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as primary HR partner to the President, Western Global North America, and their direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification required.
- 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing HR in multi-state and cross-border (U.S./Canada) environments.
- Background in production or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA) and Canadian HR compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, organizational design, and leadership development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
- Track record of building HR strategies that drive performance and engagement.
