Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and leadership, managing a broad range of HR functions. This role oversees full-cycle recruitment, performance management, benefits and leave administration, compliance, and employee relations. The HR Generalist plays a key role in promoting engagement, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational change through clear communication and thoughtful implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and execute HR programs including compensation, benefits, disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle by partnering with hiring managers to define roles, source candidates, conduct interviews, and facilitate onboarding and offboarding.
  • Oversee leave administration ensuring compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations
  • Support goal setting, performance evaluations, and provide guidance to managers on performance improvement strategies.
  • Develop and deliver employee and supervisor training on topics such as benefits, compliance, and workplace culture.
  • Drive initiatives that foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, including recognition programs and company events.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, team dynamics, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement change management initiatives that support communication, adoption, and organizational growth.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations while maintaining fairness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with federal and state requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge and administration of FMLA/OFLA/PLO/ADA and related labor laws, required
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and full-cycle recruitment
