Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team with, onsite capacity. This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys working across all areas of human resources, from employee relations and compliance to recruiting and benefits administration. The HR Generalist will play an important role in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting managers and employees, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns.
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and recordkeeping.
- Support recruitment efforts: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and coordinating new hire paperwork.
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee inquiries.
- Partner with management on employee relations issues, coaching, and performance improvement.
- Maintain accurate employee files, HRIS records, and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that support engagement and retention.
- Coordinate and track required training, certifications, and safety programs.
- Provide reporting and analysis on HR metrics as needed.
- Oversee payroll processing, timekeeping, and tracking of contingent labor hours.
- Administer unemployment insurance (UI) claims and respond to agency requests.
- Conduct and document workplace investigations in accordance with policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.
- 3+ years of HR generalist or related HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across the organization.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a part-time role.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems
