HR Generalist/Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Salary: $70-90k

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Coordinator to facilitate employee benefits programs while assisting with payroll processing and accounting tasks. This role ensures compliance with benefits regulations, administers payroll functions, and provides financial support to maintain accurate records and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration: 60%

Coordinate and administer company health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness programs.

Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and issue resolution.

Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely manner.

Administer various compliance audits such as 401k, Workers' Comp., and ESOP.

Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate changes effectively.

Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and benefit regulations.
Payroll Processing: 30%

Payroll preparation, ensuring accurate data entry and timely processing.

Review employee timesheets and accrual balances for accuracy.

Maintain payroll records and handle discrepancies or corrections.

Coordinate payroll deductions for benefits, retirement contributions, and other withholdings.
Accounting Support: 10%

Assist in reconciling benefits-related accounts and financial reports.

Process invoices and payments related to benefits providers.

Maintain employee records for payroll and accounting audits.

Support finance team with minor accounting duties, including ledger updates and reporting.
Education:
Minimum of Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organization, Leadership, Supervision or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or accounting.

2 years with payroll/HR systems like Kronos and accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Experience with compliance audits including, but not limited to 401k, Workers’ Comp., and ESOP.
