Job Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services across the organization. This position is responsible for recruiting and onboarding new employees, administering HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, coordinating benefits and leave administration, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and company standards. This entry level HR Generalist position will join an experienced supportive team to assist with day-to-day HR duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handling full cycle recruitment efforts and daily tasks for open positions across the company including but not limited to resume review, interview scheduling, communication with candidates and hiring teams, posting open positions, and sourcing candidates.
- Provide strategic support, counseling, guidance, and solutions to management within assigned customer groups regarding hiring, performance management, employee relations issues, enforcement of policies/procedures, and terminations.
- Identify and resolve potential areas of exposure and/or non-compliance with state/federal employment laws.
- Assist operational partners with Performance Management of assigned customer groups.
- Conduct independent investigations on employee complaints including violations of sexual harassment policy, EEOC, FLSA, etc.
- Create and process onboarding procedures including new hire education, documentation, E-Verify, etc.
- Generate internal documents such as offer letters, performance management documents, change requests, and onboarding forms.
- Manage leave process including management training, employee documentation, and accommodations.
- Support the benefits and payroll functions of the HR team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of other HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Experience and Skills:
Skills/Abilities:
- 6 months - 2 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using HRIS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to build positive relationships with employees from line staff to executive leadership.
- Adaptable and flexible - comfortable with frequent changes in priorities and day-to-day responsibilities.
- Accountable and dependable - takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, manages priorities and consistently meets deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
