Job Overview
Florida based food manufacturing organization seeks a Human Resources Generalist to provide a variety of HR-related duties. This position is located in Sanford, Florida and reports to the Human Resources Manager.

The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s HR functions with a strong focus on employee relations, compliance, and operational excellence. This position serves as a key resource for employees, managers, and supervisors, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees, managers, and supervisors.
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Advise leadership on employee counseling, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.

Compliance & Recordkeeping

  • Ensure I-9 compliance and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records and HR data across systems.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and data.

HR Operations & Data Management

  • Process employee system changes including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Perform data entry and updates in HRIS systems with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis to support HR initiatives and decision-making.
  • Provide training and support to managers on ADP workflows, including approvals, transactions, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, investigations and performance, etc.
  • Support managers and employees with the Alchemy training system, including password resets, troubleshooting and assigning required training.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions and issues.
  • Assist employees with FMLA and Workers' Compensation.

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Facilitate onboarding processes including new hire orientation, documentation, and system setup.
  • Coordinate offboarding procedures, ensuring proper documentation, exit interviews, and system updates.
  • Perform new hire functions such as new hire paperwork, I9’s, E-Verify, drug screens and enter into ADP
  • Coordinate inter-company (Plant to Plant) transfers, ensuring timely updates to employee/supervisors during each step in the process for a smooth transition.

Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Support, lead and coordinate employee engagement events.

Performance Management

  • Assist in the administration of performance management programs, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Guide managers through the performance improvement process, including documentation and follow-up.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, with demonstrated expertise in employee relations and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially ADP).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

++This role is not eligible for remote work and reports Monday through Friday normal business hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
