JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle, managing functions such as recruiting and onboarding, compensation and benefits administration, employee leave of absence management, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
General Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Manages the recruitment process, including interviewing and facilitating the hiring of qualified applicants; collaborates with managers to determine required skills.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Administers and executes HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
Employee Relations & Resolution:
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager and/or General Manager.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Compliance & Legal Administration:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training (e.g., safety, anti-harassment, professional licensure, and certifications).
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews and updates policies and practices to ensure compliance.
- Stays informed of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of human resource management experience is required.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR Certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
