Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will lead all aspects of the human resources function in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer as part of his leadership team. This role will be an employee champion and a leader of change.
- Provide overall leadership and drive all aspects of human resources from design through execution including: workforce planning, talent acquisition, pre-employment, orientation and onboarding, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, employee development, leadership development, compensation, benefits, compliance, discipline, communication, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and employee engagement.
- Develop, maintain and improve documentation related to the HR function, including process and policy documentation, organizational charts, talent acquisition records, safety, employee policies, etc. as published in the Employee Handbook or via other communications methods.
- Maintain job postings and open positions.
- Coordinate scheduling of onboarding with management
- Implement all learning and development activities for employees, often in collaboration with other functions such as safety, operations, etc.
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to attract and retain top talent.
- Consult with and advise business leaders, managers and employees on all aspects of human resources.
- Maintain employee files, licenses and certifications.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and state(s) and federal employment legislation and requirements to ensure the Company’s compliance in multi-state company operations.
- Assist managers and CFO with payroll and reporting of time off.
- Keep track of Supplemental payroll forms and PTO approvals.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and meetings for employees.
- Grow with Pulsar Alarm Systems across multiple new state locations.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
- 8+ years experience in human resources. 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to keep information confidential, build rapport and resolve conflict fairly and consistently.
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making skills.
- Autonomous, self-driven approach to responsibilities.
- The position is located in Plaistow, NH.
- Experience working within a Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler or Construction service minded industry and familiar with licensing processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
- Experience with Department of Transportation regulations.
- HR systems experience, time keeping, introduction of new policies.
- Experience with ADP Resource, QuickBooks Time and SalesForce a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
