Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence talent management, employee relations, and organizational development within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of human resources principles and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversight and handling of employment, organizational development, employee relations, policies, performance management, training, recruitment, safety, and legal compliance.
· Provide human resources advice and consultation to employees and management, to include coaching and counseling on conflict management and interpretation of employment policies.
· Implements, disseminates, and monitors company policies, programs and procedures in the areas of training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract, retain and motivate employees.
· Oversee the maintenance of electronic employee data in the HRIS & Payroll systems. Works with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
· Monitor compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to equal employment opportunity, unemployment compensation, EEOC, FMLA, and FLSA.
· Conduct and resolve investigations involving employee complaints and concerns.
· Identify training needs and/or gaps and develop training programs including on-boarding, classroom training, safety training and leadership training.
· Recommend, develop, and implement approved programs and policies designed to protect the company and employee interests in accordance with company HR policies and government laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in human resources or a related field or 3-5 years of related experience.
- Excellent interviewing skills, with the ability to assess the skills and qualifications of job applicants.
- Proven experience in human resources, including recruiting, employee evaluation, and performance management.
- Proficient in HR software systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Benefit, 401(k), and recruiting platforms.
-Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word. Background in IT a plus.
- Strong performance management skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective goal-setting and feedback processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex HR data and develop effective solutions to HR-related problems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize daily tasks.
- Must be bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English.
Position Type / Expected Hours
Full time onsite salaried position with hours ranging from 7am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required if job duties demand.
