We are looking for a full-time HR Generalist who is responsible for providing a broad range of HR support regarding talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, onboarding and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, policies, and employee records. This role will report to the HR Manager and is a key partner to the business, working to diagnose issues, recommend, develop, and implement appropriate HR programs and processes which drive positive business results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to hourly compensation/payroll, benefits, and leaves; corrective actions; employee relations; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from hourly employees which may include complex and/or sensitive matters.
  • Promote the development of employees by building strong relationships and becoming a trusted resource.
  • Lead the full-cycle talent acquisition process for TC Lenexa, including onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping such as personnel files, attendance records, etc.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Manages company communications by ensuring employee notices are current and posted throughout the building via communication boards and TV.
  • Management of the candidate to employee experience from obtaining job descriptions, recruiting, and onboarding through the first 90 days.
  • Manages all temp labor while working closely with the temp agencies and department heads to include approving payroll each week.
  • Assist with cultural improvement initiatives, wellness activities, and internal employee engagement opportunities.
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Human Resources or other related field; OR equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite with strong background in running reports and analyzing the data.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exemplify professional behavior and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexibility in work hours due to multiple shifts and 24/7 facility.
