Human Resources Generalist

Join a Respected Wisconsin Manufacturer

Wisconsin Homes is seeking a motivated, people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Marshfield. This role is a key HR presence for our manufacturing workforce and partners closely with the HR and Production Managers to support recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.

What You’ll Do

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for manufacturing employees and supervisors
  • Respond to HR questions related to policies, benefits, attendance, and workplace concerns
  • Support employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and documentation
  • Help maintain a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruiting for hourly production, skilled trades, and plant support roles
  • Review applicants, schedule interviews, and support hiring managers
  • Lead onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
  • Support retention and employee engagement efforts

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain employee records, HRIS updates, attendance tracking, and personnel files
  • Assist with benefits communication, leave processes, and workers’ compensation administration
  • Support policy compliance and employment law requirements

Training & Development

  • Coordinate training schedules and onboarding progress
  • Support performance review and corrective action processes
  • Partner with production manager and supervisors to strengthen people skills

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or operations experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and employee relations skills
  • Organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
