Human Resources Generalist (Healthcare)

Overview
Wells Health Care LLC is seeking a Human Resources Generalist with healthcare experience to support our growing AFC, GAFC, Pharmacy, and Skilled Nursing programs. This role is essential in managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting our dedicated caregivers, nurses, and case managers. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and passionate about helping people while building strong HR systems in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for caregivers, nurses, case managers, pharmacy staff, and office staff.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training, and annual in-service tracking.
  • Maintain accurate personnel files (CORI, OIG, CPR, TB, licenses, pharmacy technician credentials, etc.).
  • Coordinate payroll and timesheet processing in QuickBooks or payroll system.
  • Act as point of contact for employee relations issues and workplace concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, labor laws, and MassHealth, CARF, and Board of Pharmacy standards.
  • Update employee handbook, HR policies, and caregiver contracts as needed.
  • Partner with leadership on performance management, staff retention, and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HR experience (healthcare or regulated industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HIPAA.
  • Familiar with HR/payroll systems (QuickBooks, ADP, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $30 – $35/hour based on experience.
  • Schedule: 35 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, 9–5 with 1-hour unpaid lunch).

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
