The Carmel Ambulatory Surgery Center is a professional, fast paced, high energy Multi-Specialty Surgery Center offering EXCEPTIONAL care to our patients. We are seeking an engaging, self-motivated Human Resources Manager with strong leadership and communication skills to engage our nearly 100 employees fostering an environment of cooperation, high standards for patient care and safety and employee satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with Executive Director and individual department managers to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention of all staff members.
- Develops, implements and coordinates policies, processes, training and initiatives that support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy goals.
- Ensures the systems, procedures, equipment and practices that support the business operations of the Center with regard to Human Resources and Information Technology are functioning effectively and efficiently.
- Manages the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, payroll administration, leave management, performance and talent management, productivity recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations and legal integrity of all policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit reports accurately and timely as required to all federal and state regulatory offices, management and the Executive Director.
- Assure the facilities and select, non-clinical equipment of the Center are maintained in functional condition by working with the vendors and contractors to provide a functioning and safe equipment.
- Prepare job descriptions, employment ads and internal posting of employment needs of the Center to attract qualified applicants for open positions throughout the organization. Review all applicants for positions identifying top candidates to interview. Conducts interviews, screens, qualify candidates through thorough background checks, and prepares offers to top candidates.
- Manage employee benefits ensuring all plans are administered according to our current policy. Maintain database of employees and their status with all vendors. Ensure all reporting and billing from such vendors is accurate and timely. Benefit programs include, but are not limited to, payroll, medical, dental, Aflac, short and long term disability, life insurance, flexible spending, 401k, and COBRA.
- Provide Human Resource management support to all Center employees, Charge Nurses and Executive Director to ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Prepares and conducts disciplinary meetings when required.
- Assist the Executive Director as needed in HR and other functions as needed.
