Human Resources Generalist - Team Member Relations

Our client, a highly respected automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking an HR Generalist – Team Member Relations to join their team near Madison, Alabama.

This role is centered around team member relations, manager coaching, and supporting a positive, people-focused culture. The HR team is highly visible within the operation and plays a major role in supporting communication, engagement, and employee experience across the plant.

This position will focus heavily on TMR, partnering with leaders on workplace communication, employee concerns, and helping maintain a respectful, fair, and positive work environment. The role will also support shared workplace investigations alongside the broader HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key HR partner to leaders and team members on employee relations matters and workplace concerns
  • Support team member relations efforts focused on engagement, communication, and positive workplace culture
  • Assist with workplace investigations involving policy violations, employee conflict, attendance concerns, and other employee relations matters
  • Document findings and support appropriate follow-up actions and resolutions
  • Coach supervisors and managers on communication, conflict resolution, performance discussions, and policy application
  • Help drive consistency and fairness in leadership practices across the facility
  • Support employee engagement activities, HR initiatives, and culture-building efforts
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Assist with HR reporting, personnel actions, and administrative HR support as needed
  • Deliver HR-related communication and training initiatives to leaders and team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of HR Generalist, Employee Relations, or Team Member Relations experience
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting investigations and handling sensitive employee situations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to coach leaders effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Comfortable working within both office and plant environments
