● Develop job postings, manage applicant flow, and provide a seamless candidate experience.
● Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and workforce planning needs.
● Maintain ATS records, create recruiting reports, and track hiring metrics.
● Build and maintain relationships within the North Carolina construction talent market.
HR Administration / Generalist Support
● Track PTO, absenteeism, time-off requests, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
● Assist with payroll-related tasks (collecting timesheets, validating hours, updating employee data), without processing payroll.
● Manage employee review cycles and maintain performance review documentation.
● Support new hire onboarding and orientation.
● Assist with employee relations by providing first-level support and escalating complex issues when necessary.
● Maintain employee files, compliance documentation, and HR systems.
● Contribute to HR initiatives related to culture, engagement, and internal communication.
Qualifications
● 2–4+ years of experience in recruiting, preferably in construction or trades.
● Experience recruiting in North Carolina strongly preferred.
● HR generalist or HR coordinator experience is a plus.
● Familiarity with HR systems, ATS platforms, and basic payroll concepts.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to build rapport with candidates and employees.
● Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
● Proactive, enthusiastic, and aligned with a collaborative team culture.
What We’re Looking For
● A team player with a positive attitude and desire to grow within HR.
● Someone who thrives in a hybrid role and enjoys both people-facing recruitment and HR operations.
● A self-starter who can anticipate needs and contribute to improving HR processes.
