Job Description:

Our office is looking for a Full-Time Human Resources (HR) Generalist to oversee the daily HR operations of the outpatient mental health facility. This role ensures compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations while supporting staff and leadership with hiring, onboarding, benefits, payroll processes for clinicians, unemployment claims, garnishments, and overall HR compliance. The HR Manager plays a key role in maintaining a supportive, professional, and compliant workplace environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Hiring & Recruitment

  • Manage the recruitment cycle, including job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
  • Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and ensure timely, effective hires.

Onboarding & Employee Relations

  • Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring all clinical and administrative staff receive necessary training and documentation.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and serve as a resource for HR-related questions.

Employee Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate employee benefits enrollment, changes, and annual renewals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefit-related inquiries and ensure compliance with benefit regulations.

Payroll Management (Clinicians Only)

  • Process payroll for clinicians (excluding salary and administrative assistant payroll).

Unemployment & Garnishments

  • Manage unemployment claims and respond to state inquiries.
  • Administer court-ordered wage garnishments, including Friend of the Court requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, and EEOC requirements.
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HR documentation.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field required.
  • 2 years Human Resources experience required.
  • Familiarity with benefit administration, HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws.
