You’ll also have the rare opportunity to observe and participate in components of UES’s acquisition lifecycle—learning how HR evaluates newly acquired teams, supports transition plans, and ensures employees receive a smooth, consistent experience.
Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with talent acquisition tasks, including job postings, screening coordination, and candidate communication
  • Participate in HR projects that support employee engagement, organizational development, and culture initiatives
  • Gain exposure to the acquisitions process, including due diligence tasks, documentation review, and supporting integration activities
  • Help track HR metrics and prepare dashboards or reports for leadership
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, recruiters, and other cross-functional teams

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines
  • Direct exposure to how HR supports mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
  • An understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Opportunities to strengthen communication, project management, and analytical skills
  • Mentorship from experienced HR professionals across the UES network
  • Potential pathways to future internships or full-time HR opportunities

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Clear, professional communication style (written and verbal)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions
  • Interest in HR, talent acquisition, or the M&A process

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with social media platforms preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    Learning Outcomes:
  • Develop knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, engagement, and compliance.
  • Gain exposure to marketing strategy, content creation, and brand promotion.
  • Strengthen administrative and project coordination skills.
  • Enhance professional communication and collaboration within a corporate setting.

    Duration:
  • Temporary internship, [insert duration: e.g., 10–12 weeks], with potential flexibility based on academic schedule

    Travel Requirements:
    • This position does not require travel.
    Physical Demands & Work Environment:
    • This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
    • The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
    • The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
    • The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
