Position Overview:
Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our growing HR team. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience supporting a dynamic, fast-paced organization while learning how HR plays a critical role in the acquisition and integration process.
As an HR Intern, you’ll assist with day-to-day HR operations and help support key initiatives related to onboarding, employee experience, talent acquisition, compliance, and organizational change. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to observe and participate in components of UES’s acquisition lifecycle—learning how HR evaluates newly acquired teams, supports transition plans, and ensures employees receive a smooth, consistent experience.
Responsibilities:
Support HR activities such as onboarding, employee file management, and data entry within HR systems
Assist with talent acquisition tasks, including job postings, screening coordination, and candidate communication
Participate in HR projects that support employee engagement, organizational development, and culture initiatives
Gain exposure to the acquisitions process, including due diligence tasks, documentation review, and supporting integration activities
Help track HR metrics and prepare dashboards or reports for leadership
Collaborate with HR Business Partners, recruiters, and other cross-functional teams
Hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines
Direct exposure to how HR supports mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
An understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and best practices
Opportunities to strengthen communication, project management, and analytical skills

Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
