Description:

BLS, one of the largest and most established certified public accounting firms in Delaware, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to plan and direct its human resources operations, including recruiting, onboarding, administering benefits and leave, performance management, coordinating learning and development programs, employee relations, data analysis, and compliance with the Firm's policies and government requirements.

Requirements:

Job Duties Include:

  • Partnering with leadership to understand and execute the Firm's HR and talent strategies, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Creating learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees, as well as acts as liaison with professional CPE vendors
  • Overseeing employee performance review programs, disciplinary meetings, performance improvement plans, terminations, and investigations
  • Administering benefits and acting as liaison to broker and benefit providers
  • Providing support and guidance to HR Generalist and leadership when sensitive questions arise, including delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigation of allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Analyzing trends in compensation and benefits and researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the Firm attracts and retains top talent
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations

Other Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field required or relevant experience
  • Expertise in at least one functional area of HR, such as benefits management, compensation, performance management, learning & development, or compliance
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification highly desired
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Hybrid work schedule (onsite and remote) available - at least partial onsite work required
