Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for helping to set the strategic direction of the human resources at the plant level. This position ensures the right talent is in place to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results. The HR Manager cultivates and maintains a positive work environment while providing optimal level of HR service and delivery in support of business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions

Provide efficient, day-to-day HR administration and operational support.

Develop and implement the Plant HR strategy in alignment with broader business HR objectives.

Partner closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to embed HR expertise into daily operations.

Lead all hiring and recruitment activities, combining direct hiring with agency partnerships, and ensure agency contracts and fees are managed appropriately.

Foster a strong plant culture by collaborating with leaders and hourly employees, ensuring everyone feels valued and engaged.

Ensure all major HR systems, policies, and programs operate efficiently, effectively, and in line with the strategic needs of both the plant and the company.

Support managers in building high-performing teams using both traditional and innovative recruitment and retention strategies.

Drive employee engagement and operational effectiveness.

Offer learning and development opportunities for employees at all levels.

Deliver monthly HR metrics and other required reports.

Promote a positive work environment for all employees through regular presence on the plant and warehouse floors.

Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees and managers.

Recommend innovative approaches, solutions, policies, and procedures to continuously improve departmental efficiency and service quality.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, onsite position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position must be available for all shifts.
Travel
Occasional travel to other company locations, conferences and meetings is required, approximately 5%.
Required Education and Experience

BA/BS degree in HR or related field.

5 to 7 years HR experience in a manufacturing environment with minimum of 3 years in a management level role, preferably in a union environment

Knowledge and experience in various HR functions including workers compensation, staffing/recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, federal & PA state employment laws and regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational skills, time management skills.
-
High level of discretion/confidentiality is required.

Excellent communication skills
