Human Resources Manager
Location: Hampton, VA (On-Site Only, Remote or Hybrid not approved)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources Manager, to lead all HR functions for the organization. Responsible for the full employee lifecycle providing end-to-end oversight and direct support across a 100+ employee manufacturing environment. Currently with one direct report, this role is a critical business partner to senior leadership and is essential to the organization’s continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all employment laws and federal contractor requirements. (e.g. EEO, AAP, OFCCP, ADA, FMLA) Including but not limited to, all administration and reporting requirements.

Ability to design and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs.

Ability to build trust, influence at all organizational levels and manage sensitive situations.

People-oriented, results-driven, and strong strategic thinking skills.

Own full cycle recruiting and onboarding strategies and processes.

Drive the continued implementation of our HRIS, to improve data integrity and reduce manual interactions.

Develop and implement strategies around employee engagement and recognition.

Oversee Benefits Program including the company’s health and welfare plans.

Provides an HR presence for employees and managers regarding HR-related issues, questions, and concerns, while maintaining good working relationships and building credibility with employees.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required for federal contract work.

Minimum Seven (7) years of HR experience.

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred

HR-specific certifications like SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR are a plus.

Prior federal contractor or manufacturing HR experience is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of employment laws, benefits, and HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now experience highly desired).

Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and objective in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
