Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace environment. In this role, you will oversee all facets of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. Your leadership will drive organizational growth by developing innovative HR programs, This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about cultivating a thriving workforce and shaping organizational culture.

Duties

  • Processing Bi-Weekly Payroll for SHSS.
  • Monitoring scheduling needs for each home and creating and overseeing job postings, interviews, new hire appointments.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork with new hires and released employees ensuring compliance with State laws.
  • Monitoring current staff’s certifications, PTO, anniversary dates, ext.
  • Respond to unemployment agencies, workmen’s comp, employment verification, references, ext.
  • Overseeing disciplinary process, ensuring all managers are complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update official organization policy documents.
  • Oversee SHSS in-kind donations and creating journal entries.
  • Be direct contact for employees and answer any employee questions as needed.
  • Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, and leave policies in compliance with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).
  • Completing receptionist duties as needed.
  • Other duties assigned by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
  • Proven experience in human resources management with a strong background in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience leading HR teams or departments effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication skills to engage with employees at all levels and senior leadership alike.
  • Ability to analyze data collection reports for strategic decision-making; proficient in process improvement methodologies to optimize HR workflows.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
