NGT is a small but rapidly expanding company, and we are looking for an HR Manager who can grow with us and help build strong internal processes as we scale.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to support our growing team in Anaheim, California. As a small business in expansion mode, we need someone who can develop HR infrastructure, elevate our onboarding process, and manage day-to-day HR operations. This role includes recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations. Experience in a manufacturing, print, or packaging industry environment is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Gusto payroll system is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Hiring

- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a growing small business.

- Write and update job descriptions and support hiring for multiple departments.

- Lead and improve new-hire onboarding, ensuring each employee is properly trained and integrated.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

- Process bi-weekly payroll using Gusto with accuracy and timeliness.

- Administer health insurance, PTO, and company benefit programs.

- Assist employees with benefit questions and manage open enrollment.

HR Compliance & Administration

- Maintain complete and organized HR records and required documentation.

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws.

- Update policies and the employee handbook as the company continues to grow.

Employee Relations

- Serve as the main HR contact for employees and management.

- Support conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary steps.

- Promote a positive, team-focused workplace culture.

Training & Development

- Coordinate onboarding training, safety programs, and role-specific development.

- Provide HR guidance to managers as the organization expands.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

- 3+ years of HR experience; California HR experience strongly preferred.

- Experience in the packaging, printing, or manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

- Experience with Gusto payroll preferred.

- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR compliance.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to thrive in a small, fast-growing environment.

- HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
