Business hours 6:30 am - 3:00 pm M-F. Some weekends to run payroll.
JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Human Resources (MHR) manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office. The MHR carries out the responsibilities in the following areas: recruiting and staffing, performance management, compensation/benefits, Employee relations/communication and the Human Resources Information System. (HRIS)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Maintains and ensures accuracy of HRIS data at all times.
- Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and government laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the administration on Pathfinder Manufacturing’s alcohol and drug testing program.
- Responsible for running and maintaining Payroll.
- Manage and maintain employee files and compensation and benefits administration programs.
- Keeps all employees records up to date, neat, safe and compliant with all laws.
- Counsel employees with their supervisors on unsatisfactory work performance or conduct and implement progressive discipline policy when appropriate.
- Update Employee Handbook and implement with staff annually
- Ensure 90 day and annual evaluations are completed in a timely manner for all employees
- Responsible for investigating all staff complaints and ensuring disposition is in alignment with company policies
- Responsible for all recruiting and hiring processes including:
- updating all job descriptions, advertising vacancies, screening applicants, writing interview questions, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks
- Post selection, manages new hire paperwork and new hire orientation process for all employees.
- Own the companies 403(b) plan as Plan Sponsor and promote to employees.
- Complete all OSHA 300 reporting accurately and on time and post same as required
- Coordinate all Benefits Management including federal reporting requirements.
- Owns employee incident (accident) paperwork and follow-up process. Assists with disability and workers compensation as needed.
- Ensures Organization is following all governmental agencies with respect to employees including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), eh Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor (DOL), worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.

- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 5 years of experience in Human Resources
- Must have a strong commitment to advocacy for disabled at risk youth and their vocational development.

- Unwavering commitment to data-driven program evaluation.
- Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach employees and promote a positive image to the schools and community
- Strong public relations and human resource experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
- Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to safety program.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma required.
- HR Certification Preferred
- 5yrs of HR Experience Preferred
