HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER (PART-TIME, 20 HOURS/WEEK)

Location: Boulder, Colorado (in office)

Teams Supported: Boulder, Colorado & Nairobi, Kenya

Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Reports to: Executive Leadership Team

Atlas Tower is seeking a warm, approachable, and highly skilled Part-Time Human Resource Manager with a strong focus on employee relations. This role supports employees across Boulder, Colorado, and Nairobi, Kenya—two regions operating with an approximate 9–10 hour time difference. Occasional flexibility is required to engage Nairobi team members during overlapping hours.

Employee Relations

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with employees in both regions.
  • Provide confidential support for interpersonal concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Coach managers on communication, leadership, and engagement best practices.
  • Support an inclusive, respectful culture.

Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Experience

  • Lead onboarding and offboarding processes for both Boulder and Nairobi.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive employee experience across the lifecycle.

HR Compliance, Documentation & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate, compliant employee files in the HRIS and Google Drive.
  • Support adherence to U.S. labor laws and collaborate with Nairobi leadership on Kenyan requirements.
  • Maintain updated HR policies and communicate changes clearly.

HR Support & Process Improvement

  • Assist with performance conversations, documentation, and development planning.
  • Support recruitment, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
  • Recommend workflow and system improvements.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of HR experience with significant employee relations responsibility.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgment handling sensitive matters.
  • Experience supporting multi-location or international teams preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and willingness to learn Kenyan practices.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Google Drive.
  • Ability to work 20 hours weekly in the Boulder office with occasional flexibility for Kenya overlap.
