The Felician Sisters of North America is a vibrant and compassionate religious community dedicated to living the mission of service, justice, and care for all people. We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Human Resources Manager to support our eldercare facilities across the US and Canada. This full-time position will be based at the Beaver Falls administrative office (located 20 minutes from Cranberry Two and less than 60 minutes north of Pittsburgh).
The Human Resources Manager collaborates with the Provincial Director of Human Resources in the coordination of the Province's Human Resources policies and programs. The Human Resources Manager provides assistance with benefits administration including employee health, disability, and life insurance benefits and retirement programs. The Human Resources Manager also provides oversight of the recruiting, interviewing and new hire orientation process. Additional duties include collaborating with the Provincial Director of Human Resources with employee relations issues, disciplinary actions and assist in ensuring that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position works closely with the Provincial Director of Human Resources and the Provincial management team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. 2. 3. Collaborates with management in administering Human Resources procedures for all employees; works with the Provincial Director of Human Resources in the development, implementation and enforcement of Human Resources policies and procedures.
4. Partners with the Provincial Director of Human Resources and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees.
5. Works with convent management and/or individually responds to employee inquiries regarding department policies, employee handbook policies, employment, compensation, paid time off and benefits.
6. Administers and oversees all types of leaves of absence, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave, Workers' Compensation leave and short- and long-term disability leaves. Monitors and Human Resources Manager manages ongoing claims. Participates in the Americans with Disabilities Act interactive process when indicated.
7. Interacts with convent management and the Human Resources Recruiter in overseeing the recruitment, interview, and selection process. Monitors recruitment efforts to assist in ensuring staffing is at appropriate levels.
8. Oversees the new hire process in collaboration with the Human Resources Recruiter. Verifies all pre-employment testing and requirements have been met before the new hire start date. Processes new hire documentation.
9. Maintains employee personnel and medical files.
10. Oversees employee enrollment in all benefits including medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, disability insurance, pension, and life insurance. Serves as a resource for employees regarding benefits questions.
11. Verifies and processes all open enrollment benefit changes.
12. Processes employee terminations. Assures all benefits are terminated timely and sees that the payroll system is updated. Conducts exit interviews to gather statistical data on reason for termination.
13. Communicates with payroll regarding wage and hour issues. Ensures employee pay is accurate. Assists in resolving payroll-related issues. Assists in administration of the compensation program and ensuring timely employee pay increases.
14. Collaborates with the Provincial Director of Human Resources and convent management in all steps of the disciplinary process to assure proper documentation and adherence to policies. Supports and coaches all levels of management in counseling and disciplining employees.
15. Completes unemployment compensation forms, court order information and other Human Resources-related forms and requests.
16. Participates in special projects as required.
17. Attends and participates in meetings, committees, seminars, conferences, and in-service training programs as directed.
18. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.
2. Minimum of three (3) years Human Resources experience required.
3. Experience in a long-term care or health care environment preferred.
4. Benefits and/or payroll experience is preferred.
5. Experience in a non-profit environment preferred
