Summary Statement: Responsible for managing the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, total rewards, and employee relations. Ensures compliance with labor laws, fosters a positive workplace culture while supporting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage staffing processes to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Develop and maintain performance management systems to include guiding managers and staff through annual review process
  • Create compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Ensures the organizations compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
  • Maintain HRIS systems and processes.
  • Oversee facility maintenance including coordinating repairs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring workplace safety and compliance, and supporting a well-functioning, efficient office environment.
  • Assists Finance Director as needed for various tasks including payroll management, accounting backup, and other tasks as directed by Finance Director.


DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3–7 years of progressive HR experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Background in finance and/or accounting. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Experience with HRIS systems and standard HR tools. Professional certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 20 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment and meet with staff.
