Position Summary
The HR Manager supports the daily HR and administrative functions of our busy clinic. This position partners closely with the Practice Administrator, Managers, Providers, and Team Leads to support our team and maintain consistent, compliant, and people‑focused HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & HR Operations
- Assist Practice Administrator in overseeing day-to-day clinic operations to ensure smooth workflow and patient/team satisfaction
- Support implementation and adherence to HR practice policies, procedures, and workflows
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook, HR policies and employee records
- Ensure compliance and tracking of required trainings (HIPAA, OSHA, BLS and other regulatory requirements)
- Payroll, 401k and benefits
- Coordinate employee separations, documentation, and exit processes
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant, consistent, and confidential
- Help manage other assigned duties and projects from Practice Administrator
Human Resources & Employee Support
- Serve as a primary HR resource for all team members and leaders
- Manage all aspects of recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and professional development of team members
- Support employee relations, including annual performance evaluations, coaching conversations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate training programs to keep clinic staff up-to-date on the latest healthcare protocols and technologies.
- Manage team member schedules, time-off requests and coverage to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Promote a collaborative, patient-centered team culture
Communication & Team Engagement
- Lead and coordinate internal communication, including team meetings, newsletters, and staff updates.
- Plan, facilitate and support Provider, Manager and Team Lead meetings
- Partner with leadership to promote strong communication, collaboration, and team connection.
- Support and lead internal committees focused on engagement, wellness, and HIPAA.
- Foster a welcoming, positive, and supportive work environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) (preferred)
- Minimum of 2–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong working knowledge of HR compliance and employee relations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with care and professionalism
- Experience with Paychex or similar payroll systems (preferred)
- Positive, collaborative approach and genuine interest in supporting people
